SATIS Independent School Football Representative Team

The Sports Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools (SATIS) was formed by AHISA Tas to conduct
sporting competitions for member schools. SATIS promotes physical, emotional and social well-being by
fostering and administering a quality sporting program providing competition between schools in an
environment which encourages participation, diversity, integrity and sportsmanship.
On Friday 11 August, a representative team from the SATIS football competition will fly to Melbourne to
play a representative team from the APS (Associated Public Schools) of Victoria. The game will be part of
the annual APS v AGSV (Associated Grammar Schools of Victoria) Winter Representative Carnival, which
will be held at the Carey Grammar Sports Complex at 10am on Saturday 12 August.
The SATIS team comprises students from the 6 competing schools; Launceston Church Grammar School,
St Patrick’s College and Scotch Oakburn College from the North and The Hutchins School, Guilford Young
College and The Friends’ School from the South. The APS team will be represented by students from
prestigious Victorian schools including Brighton Grammar, Xavier College, Geelong Grammar, Carey
Grammar, Haileybury, The Geelong College, Melbourne Grammar, St Kevin’s College, Scotch College and
Wesley College.
SATIS Team: Tim Auckland, Connor Dixon, Will Edmunds, Lachie Gee, Miller Hodge, Fletcher Bennett
