Records tumble at SSATIS Swimming

SVC Under 16 Freestyle Relay

Six records were broken at the SSATIS Swimming Carnival held on Wednesday 13 March at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre. The first record of the day was in the Girls Under 16 4x50m Medley Relay, broken by St. Michael’s Collegiate in a time of 2:13.14. Collegiate then followed with a time beating swim in the Girls Under 15 4x50m Freestyle Relay (1:59.54). In the very next race, St Virgil’s swum a time of 1:45.61 to better the boys Under 16 Freestyle Relay by 3.5 seconds. In addition three individual records were broken;

Max Giuliani (SVC) – Boys Under 16 50m Freestyle: 25.36

Ethan Jones (SACC) – Boys Under 13 50m Backstroke: 33.28

Rebecca MacDonald (COL) – Girls Under 15 50m Backstroke: 33.19
